Children and Families

Children are very important to God.

“Let the little children come; do not hinder them, for such belongs the kingdom of God” Mark 10:14

The significance here goes beyond just showing how much Jesus loves and cares for children, for Jesus then said that “whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it” (Mark 10:15). So not only are children just as much members of God’s kingdom as adults, we as adults need to learn from them if we are to come to the fullness of God’s kingdom.

This understanding is at the core of children’s ministry at Resurrection Anglican Church. As we interact with children in the church services and in our children’s ministry classes, we remember that the same Holy Spirit guides all of us as God’s children. We all need each other and are growing together as the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13-21; Ephesians 4:11-16).

Meet Our Team

  • Anna Campbell

    NURSERY

Anna lives with her husband, Brad, and 3 daughters in the Coon Rapids area. She has been involved with Children's Ministry since 2022, and She believes there is much we can learn from our younger sisters and brothers in Christ, if we are only willing to listen and appreciate what they bring to the table. She strives to be an advocate not only for children but parents as well and wants to make sure parents are feeling seen, heard, and supported in their partnership with the church. In her spare time she really enjoys getting tattoos, crafting, thrifting, and watching Studio Ghibli movies with her husband. She is a big fan of authentic relationships that allow for messes, big emotions, and the freedom to just be who you are.

  • Sara Bramsen

    GODLY PLAY (K-2)

Sara grew up as a missionary kid in Argentina, before coming back to the US to pursue degrees in French and literature at Oklahoma Baptist University (BA), Kentucky (MA) and Notre Dame (PhD). Sara and her husband, Andy, were married in 2005 and she is continuing her teaching career by homeschooling their four children. Sara volunteered in children’s ministry at our sister church (Church of the Redeemer) for a decade, serving on their Children’s Leadership Team from 2019-2024. Sara enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading aloud with her family, and is excited about sharing God’s great story with the children of Resurrection through the Godly Play curriculum.

  • Justin Moline

    ELEMENTARY (GRADES 3-6)

Husband to Brittany and father of four wonderful children (Georgia, Madeleine, James, and John).

Grateful to lead and teach the 3rd-6th grade Sunday school class here at Resurrection Anglican where we have attended since its inception. We explore God’s great big story each week. Expect to read scripture, pray, and lots of laughter (snacks too!).

FAQs

  • On a normal children’s ministry Sunday, children four years old and under begin in the nursery for a time of play and stories and parents pick them up at the passing of the peace. Children in Kindergarten through 6th grade will be in the sanctuary through the opening songs, then will be invited forward for a prayer of blessing before going to their classes. Their children’s ministry time involves biblical teaching, activities that creatively engage them with the teaching, and a snack. They then return to the sanctuary during the passing of the peace.

  • Of course! We see children as full members of our church family and they are always welcome in the sanctuary, though we hope they will take advantage of the classes that offer spiritual formation tailored to them.

  • In addition to our Sunday children’s ministry, we have periodic youth activities for our 7th-12th graders, a Saturday Kids Listening Prayer activity for 1st-5th graders scheduled most months during the school year, Lenten children's ministry during soup suppers, and summer park meetups that are open to anyone. You can find current offerings posted on our events page.

  • Resurrection Anglican is committed to the safety of your children. We partner with Church of the Cross (Hopkins) to create protocols and offer training for all adults involved in children's ministry.
